What is Funded
Projects that help local communities build long-term resilience, and offer tools to take greater control over their futures. This includes for example strengthening climate risk assessments for local communities, improving public services to better manage the strain of an unpredictable climate, or safeguarding coastal economies and livelihoods through greater access to multi-modal environmental data.

Why AI for Climate Resilience
Climate-vulnerable communities face growing risks, yet often lack access to the tools and data needed to prepare and adapt. AI has the potential to change that — by processing complex environmental data, generating locally relevant insights, and enabling faster, better-informed decisions. The AI for Climate Resilience Program exists to fund the organizations turning that potential into practice.

Klarna's AI for Climate Resilience Program funds practical, locally-led AI solutions deployed in low- and middle-income countries. Projects must demonstrate clear public value and measurable impact for climate-vulnerable communities.
