Through legal empowerment, climate litigation, and solidarity funding, they support these communities while promoting ancient and indigenous knowledge to mitigate climate change and restore harmony with nature. Their project fosters learning opportunities among indigenous communities globally.

Blue Marine Foundation is dedicated to restoring the ocean to health by protecting and restoring marine life. Using a combination of top-down interventions to improve ocean governance and bottom-up project delivery that empowers fishers and local communities, their mission is to see at least 30 percent of the world’s ocean under effective protection by 2030 and the other 70 percent managed in a responsible way.

People worldwide are attacked and killed for protecting forests from being logged. Human Rights Watch saves forests and protects their defenders. They shed light on human rights abuses and pressures governments to enforce legislation and policies to stop these destructive practices through investigations, exposing abuses linked to deforestation, and campaigning for change.

ICCI is dedicated to protecting the Earth's cryosphere through advocacy, research, and grassroots efforts, targeting black carbon pollution which is endangering glaciers, snow, community health, and biodiversity. Their mission involves educating the public and global leaders about cryosphere science while supporting local communities in adapting to climate change.

The Strategic Response Mechanism (SRM), operated by Rights and Resources Initiative, offers prompt funding to support Indigenous people in protecting their land rights in developing nations. By addressing threats and seizing opportunities, the SRM empowers these groups to safeguard their territories, promote sustainable development, and advocate for just climate action.

Suriname stands as the only nation maintaining over 90% of its original forest, a remarkable environmental feat. To preserve this legacy, new legislation is being crafted to declare millions of hectares as protected areas. However, these forests currently face unprecedented threats, including agriculture, mining, and road development. Addressing this, Re:wild, in collaboration with the Amazon Conservation Team (ACT) and the newly formed local NGO Wildlife and People, is empowering South Suriname's Indigenous communities, particularly the Trio people, to protect their ancestral lands.

Terrafund for AFR100 is an initiative by One Tree Planted and its partners. The goal is to help local people in Africa to grow trees, which will in turn develop sustainable livelihoods that create an alternative to deforestation, and enhance their livelihoods. This initiative consists of two organizations, Kijabe Forest Trust and Fairtree.org, both located in Kenya. Kijabe Forest Trust restores trees and combats illegal activities in Kijabe Forest with local scouts while Fairtree.org empowers small community groups with its Pay-to-Grow system to plant trees efficiently using digital tools.

Terrafund for AFR100 is an initiative by One Tree Planted and its partners. This initiative consists of two organizations Herp Ghana and Hen Mpoano. Herp Ghana focuses on amphibian conservation through habitat restoration and community engagement, through tree planting and income enhancement for rural communities. Hen Mpoano supports coastal communities through integrated management of coastal and marine ecosystems, emphasizing mangrove restoration, beekeeping, and organic farming for environmental conservation.

Amazon Frontlines empowers Indigenous communities to safeguard their ancestral lands and combat the escalating threats posed by resource extraction. They are spearheading a movement to preserve the world's most biodiverse rainforests while advancing thriving, resilient Indigenous communities.

Buglife addresses many of the threats to bees and insects including habitat loss and toxins. Their B-lines program establishes wildflower-rich "insect superhighways" to restore pollinator populations in the UK. Partnering with various stakeholders, they offer advice and support for insect-friendly land management, involving farmers, local authorities, government agencies, NGOs, businesses, and individuals in their conservation efforts.

This initiative is dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Rwanda's natural wetlands. Understanding that human-related threats, often stemming from poverty, livelihood challenges, and lack of awareness, alongside competition between humans and animals for habitat, drive these issues, the project adopts a community-driven strategy that also aims to enhance local livelihoods.

Gaia Amazonas works hand in hand with Indigenous communities to protect the Amazonas ecosystem. With over three decades of experience, Gaia empowers indigenous peoples by integrating their traditional knowledge into socio-environmental and cultural strategies. They strive to foster dialogue between diverse knowledge systems and facilitate collaboration with the state and other stakeholders.

CORDIO East Africa is tackling the decline of marine resources by helping local communities embrace sustainable approaches. Through education and involvement, they aim to address the factors leading to coral reef deterioration and the degradation of marine resources, promoting beneficial results for both coastal communities and the environment in Eastern Africa.

Acción Andina aims to protect and restore one million hectares of high Andean forests, particularly Polylepis, over 25 years. The initiative focuses on conserving 500,000 hectares and restoring an equal area while promoting community-led natural resource management. This initiative is powered by Global Forest Generation and ECOAN.
